The interior of the church, adorned with numerous ex-votos shaped like small and colorful boats, offers visitors a unique experience.
One of the most significant events associated with this church is the Feast of Santa Maria 'e Mare, celebrated annually on the last Sunday of May. During this festival, the church becomes the focal point of an evocative maritime procession. The statue of the Madonna, beautifully adorned with flowers and jewels, is transported on a decorated boat, followed by a procession of festively adorned vessels. This procession crosses the waters of the Cedrino River in an atmosphere of devotion and joy, culminating with the arrival of the statue at the Church of Santa Maria sul Mare.
